About this publication

Humans form deciduous and permanent dentitions. Rudimentary dental tissue may persist beyond them: a developmental possibility described as a third dentition. Several current approaches aim to activate latent tooth germs or rebuild tooth-forming interactions. Third Teeth follows those attempts without assuming they will produce an approved therapy, a functional tooth, or the same result in every patient.

The publication is independent of the laboratories and companies covered. It carries no advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored content, and no products. It exists to keep one dated, cited, correctable record of a field whose coverage runs far ahead of its evidence.

What "dated" means here

Every entry carries the date it was last verified against a source. The state of the field is re-written as a numbered pass roughly monthly; superseded passes are kept unchanged in the archive. Corrections are logged in public, never silently edited.

What we cover

Programmes across three routes: releasing a latent programme (anti-USAG-1 and related signalling), building a tooth or its components (tooth-germ bioengineering, organoids), and repairing what remains (pulp, dentin, enamel). Each is tiered T1-T5 on what was measured rather than asserted; the method.
